Thank you a lot for your mail and Im happy for you and you wishing me a merry christmas.
Im sorry I couldnt answer since my computer seems to be having virus and have just tried it and it worked but Im not sure it will work well unless it is repaired.
Im happy for your suggestion of me writing to you about the school and the thing happening in kabondo.
The school opens on the 7th of January 2008 and we hope that we will get one or two teachers to help otherwise our kids are doing better and we hope that someday their first exams could be marvelours.
The weather here in kabondo is a little bit rainy and a little bit of sun and now we got elections and we gonna elect our president on this Thursday 27th Dec. Our school is one of the polling centres.
Everybody is happy for the support you are giving to this school and we as the teachers are like we wanna do our best to make the school do better.
I will send mail to you later.
Thank you for the mail and we
WHISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

YEAR 2007 ST. CHRISTINE SCHOOL IN KABONDO
This year 2007 we started with:
TEACHERS 6
2 for the Nursery school and
4 for the primary school
Kitchen
2 cooks and
1 helper who later left in the month of September.
Watchmen
2 One for the day and the other for the night.
Children

When the year started we had 7 children who repeated the nursery class and the selection of the new kids took about 43 new ones and the class became 50 in total.
We had promoted 40 to class one but then we saw we had to take back 10 children to repeat since they were not good enough to go to the next class, and then we remained with 30.
For class two we had 45 children but then 12 of them repeated so the total number that we have is 33. In class three we have a total of 34 kids.
The total number of kids that started in the beginning o this year is 173.
We had some 3-5 that used to coming but now they seem not to be coming anymore.
The total number of kids that did exams at the end of this year is:
Class 3 34 Class 2 33 Class 1 39 Nursery 59 TOTAL 165
We have promoted:
28 kids to the next class to standard 4
26 to standard 3
34 to standard 2 and
38 to standard 1.
The total number of kids promoted to the next class is 126 of the total number of kids and the rest 39 will be repeating their classes next year.
We wish you A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Om barnens oro, pågående och kommande resor
We are just doing well and everything's Ok now.
The ladies reached well and they really appreciate for having travelled and the hosiptality you accorded them and they are happy.
The child that went away when his sister died (Felix) is back and now learning in the school.
The class two children are really worried and they ask David, "Where the class three going to be next year when we move to their classroom?"
And that seems to be the worry of even the kids. Otherwise we are fine and they are now doing their mid term exams and as we see they are really doing better everytime.
I hope I'll take good care of the boys.
Thanks and say hi to everyone!
I've not got any sms from Nisse anyway.

Planeringen av Nisse's och Alex's resa - mail till Felix
Hi
As You already know from SMS from Nisse, he and Alex will come to Kenya in a weeks time.
I would like You to make some arrangements for them like picking them at the airport in Nairobi, fly with them to Kisumu, get them accomadation at Nyanza Club and transportation to Kabondo.
They'll arrive in Nairobi at around 7 o'clock in the morning next Monday so I'm afraid You'll have to spend the night in Nairobi.
I'm asking Jennifer (0722703040) to arrange the transports in Nairobi so she'll be at the airport as well. Contact her and she might be able to take You to the airport in the morning. You'll have to make a simple program for the day like going for lunch at Karen Blixen or resting at the United Kenya Club. Usually you can have a dayroom at reduced price, but it's OK to just spend some time in the garden and try the lunch buff'é.
I don't know if You tried the 540 airline and the flight to Kisumu, but I want You to buy tickets for yourself, Nils Sturaeus and Alexander Landborn next Monday either with them or Kenya Airways. When I get the total price I'll put it on the card for you to use either paying directly or by going to the ATM. The ATM is the more expensive option but maybe the 540 only take cash.
I want the boys to spend Monday night at Nyanza but if they're fully booked You find a good alternative like Sunset or the Millimani.
Great all and take good care of the boys
/Håkan
